Bus 442: from Dobbiaco and Villabassa to Lago di Braies
Line 442 connects Dobbiaco (Toblach) and Villabassa (Niederdorf) with Lago di Braies (Pragser Wildsee). From Dobbiaco bus station the bus runs via Villabassa (Camping and Piazza Von Kurz) into the Valle di Braies and stops at the sawmill, in Ferrara (Schmieden) by the church and in San Vito (St. Veit) at the Oberhaus. The terminus is the car park at Lago di Braies, a few minutes' walk from the shore.
Lago di Braies, at 1,496 m, is one of the most visited lakes in the Dolomites and the starting point for the walk around the lake and for hikes into the Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park. From Monguelfo (Welsberg), line 439 also runs to the lake. Dobbiaco and Villabassa can be reached from the Val Pusteria and from Brunico by the Val Pusteria railway. For the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the 444 shuttle bus leaves from Dobbiaco.
